Parineeta Mkv Subtitles 720 Torrents

Parineeta is a 2005 Hindi film based on a novel of the same name by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. The film was directed by Srijit Mukherjee, and stars Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Khan and Raima Sen. It tells the story of a beautiful but poverty-stricken girl named Lalita who lives in a small Indian village with her widowed mother. In this society, girls are usually married after they turn 14 or 15 years old to an older man from their own community who can take care of them. But Lalita's mother cautions her daughter against marriage at such an early age because "growing up too fast" could lead to unhappiness later in life. Lalita's mother does not want her daughter to be a burden on the family and is also shown in several scenes to care for Lalita greatly. In fact, when Lalita returns from her first visit to a neighboring town, after she has been courted by a local shopkeeper, she tells everyone that she doesn't want to get married yet because of the plight of widows in India. Her mother pleads with her against marriage at such an early age and instead wants Lalita to pursue education and find a proper job. But Lalita is soon matched with Pushkaran (Irrfan Khan), a young man from their village who is considered more of an outsider than she is. She is shown as striking up a friendship with him and she soon begins to fall in love with the young man. Her mother, as well as other members of the village, warn her that it is not wise for a young woman to fall in love with a man before marriage. Although this concept may sound old-fashioned, the movie implies that it is still a common tradition in India for women to be married off at a young age. Pushkar's father arranges for Pushkar and Lalita to marry each other, but only after Pushkaran has been able to make enough money from his business venture to provide Lalita with a good dowry. Lalita agrees to the marriage with Pushkar, but is afraid that she will never be able to get married if Pushkaran is unable to finish his business. One day, Lalita's mother is caught in the rain and goes for shelter for a few minutes into a deserted house, where she sees a portrait of the former occupant of the house, Parineeta (Raima Sen), who was presumably an upper-class woman in her time. Lalita's mother is so attracted by Parineeta's beauty that she cannot help but take down the portrait so that she can show it to Lalita when she returns home. She then returns the portrait to its original spot and leaves. The rainy season is followed by a period of drought, and most of the villagers go to work in town for money. Lalita, however, decides to stay back in order to help her mother with household chores and wait for Pushkar's return. She begins to feel lonely and one day sneaks into an adjoining village where she sees the local kids at play and is entranced by all the fun and festivities. She begins to miss her youth and independence, something that she never had because she was born into a poor family. cfa1e77820
